Album Review | Sisteray | She Likes the Drama

sisterayEP title track, ‘She Likes the Drama’, opens up Sisteray’s latest release that’ll hit stores on the 17th February, 2014.

Delivering a great start to the year, the title track, She Likes the Drama, leaves you with a good kind of headache after you’ve bobbed your head more than a hundred times. It’s one for the mosh pits all around the world, leaving you breathless with adrenaline.

Taking the tempo down a notch, Rollin’ Over, gets your heart into the momentum of the bass intro before the rest of the accompaniment and vocals come rushing in – and the tempo right beside it. It’s a fun song that gets you dancing rather than head banging. It completely matches with the lyrics and leaves you breathless after you’ve danced the song away.

I’m Free fuels the rockier sound of the EP as the adrenaline kicks you to the roof, but the attitude that exudes from the lyrics and the electric guitar leaves you with your fists in the air. It’s an anthem song for anyone who understands the freedom that comes with being able to throw your head around, punch the air all around you and kick any empty space your feet find – just ‘cause you can.

Closing the EP, Coming Up has a more playful vibe than the previous tracks that the boys have conjured up for this EP. It’s cheeky and humorous enough for you to sway from side to side and throw some cheesy 80’s dance moves every now and then. It’s fun and gets you going from start to finish.

Overall, Sisteray have out done themselves with these four songs that make, “She Likes the Drama”. It’s what you want in a rock compilation. It leaves you breathless in different ways and keeps you wanting more. Kudos to Sisteray, this is an amazing EP that you should all be looking forward to.
