JLS; Evolution

Graham Clark

JLS return with their new album Evolution. As their fourth album in as many years – the title could not be more appropriate. On this album they have tried to change and go for a more mature sound.

Their influences are still present, like Michael Jackson, and whilst the new single ‘Hottest Girl In The World’ may sound like a Beyonce cast off, the rest of the album has strong Justin Timberlake influences with a bit of Timbaland in there too.

The strongest tracks on the album are ‘All The Way’ and ‘Give Me Life’ – both tracks could be singles in the future and are some of the strongest tracks they have produced to-date.

The album ends with a sugary ballad, ‘Gotta Try It’ which is a typical JLS track and is a fine way to end a fine album.
