Jaayns releases alternative dreampop track ‘Danger’

Jaayns - Love Music; Love Life

Smoke fills the hollow air, whispering through the crowd, like a python identifying its prey.

A room full of soulless faces, faking their every move, waiting for the moment to attack.

There’s a slight smell of silence before The DJ drops the needle, the bassline kicks in, the python is honing in on tonight’s feast, I guess I’m danger!

“I hear the constant beat of my heart
Eyes wide open, standing guard
Hurry now, I’ve strayed too long
Why did I wander off alone?
Can you please get me out of the dark?”

‘Danger’ is the brilliant new single from Leeds based singer/songwriter Jaayns, conveying an element of mistrust and despair, with her chilling lyrics, beautiful layers of synth strings, vocal harmonies and a nice big bassline, that does indeed flow like smoke through a crowd.

There’s elements of Nero, early Sub Focus and Lorde. Vocally, Jaayns does resemble a more mature Kate Nash with a hint of Dolores O’Riordan.

Previous single ‘Lost’ is a haunting rollercoaster of emotions, building to an explosive crescendo.

These songs are so full of atmosphere you need to hear them loud to appreciate the quality of the production.

The new Jaayns four-track EP ‘Bright White Yellow’ is available on August 18th.
