As if having their own music festival in Edinburgh isn’t enough, The 10:04s will open this year’s Concert In The Gardens.

The indie four-piece band has performed sold out gigs in the city since 2009 sharing the stage with bands including The Cribs and The View.

Nina Nesbitt

Known as Edinburgh’s sweetheart, Nina Nesbitt has been playing gigs across the city for years.

Starting off with acoustic gigs in bars, next year she will appear at the near 3,000 capacity Usher Hall.

Nina is set to release her debut album ‘Peroxide’ in February 2014, a fitting title when she has hair to envy thanks to Edinburgh hairdresser Cheynes.

The 1975

1975
Edinburgh’s Hogmanay, in our opinion, has their finger well and truly on the pulse selecting The 1975 for this year’s celebrations.

We may be a little bias after recommending them in our bands to watch for 2013 list and reviewing them when they last played Edinburgh at Electric Circus in January, but we can assure you The 1975 are certainly a name to look out for.

If you haven’t caught onto the hype already, the band this year alone have gained airplay across the globe and toured the world with sold out shows from Edinburgh to San Francisco, proving the hype is more than scattered words on a page.

If you’ve yet to listen to the band, check out some of our favourite tracks from The 1975.

There was a lot of excitement in the city when the Pet Shop Boys were revealed as this year’s headliners.

The 80’s electronic duo is listed as the most successful duo in UK music history after selling over 50 million records and landing 22 top ten hits.

The duo released their 12th studio album in June this year and are ready to dance their way into the New Year.

If you’re looking for a tune to dance the day away, catch up on their sound by checking out some of our favourite tracks.
