Fringe 2014 | Interview | Four Screws Loose

Four Screws Loose are back with their fifth Fringe show combining sketch and musical comedy at George Square Gardens.

As the Fringe gets underway, we caught up with the guys to find out more about this year’s show ‘The Big Screw Up’.

How would you describe your Fringe show in three words?

Big Screw Up

Are there any tunes that get you ready for going on stage?

‘I’m a Freak’ by Enrique Inglesias. We have a little dance that goes with it and everything. Aaaand ‘5,6,7,8…

You’ve been described as the ‘boy band of comedy’, if you had to pick a boy band who would you say you’re most alike?

Obviously One Direction ‘cos we’re just as good looking, internationally famous and rich as they are… Um…

And more importantly, who would you be?

We kept arguing over who got to be Harry so in the end no-one was allowed so…

Rich – Zayn (cos he’s the token ethnic)
Joseph – Niall (cos he’s little)
Thom – Liam (cos he likes taking naked photos of himself)
Conan – Louis (cos he’s the only one left)

If you had to select a genre to slot your musical sketches into, what would it be?

…Musical hip-hop, pop theatre, mash-up sexy show!

How should we prepare for coming to see your show?

Wear some old underwear cos you’re gonna wet yourselves!

Anything else you wish to add?

See you there. Or else…

See Four Screws Loose – The Big Screw Up at Assembly George Square Gardens during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe from August 6 to August 25.
