Following the release of their new single ‘Picture’, we caught up with Secret Company.
The Chelmsford four-piece released their new single via SO Recordings, ahead of their new EP which is due out this summer.
We caught up with Secret Company’s frontman Scott Revell to find out more about the band’s formation, their influences and plans for 2016.
Can you tell us more about the formation of Secret Company?
James, Tim and Kushal met in school and have been playing music together since they were about 15 and I met them all through a friend and from playing the local gig circuit together. James and I had been talking a bit and he asked me if I wanted to write some songs with him, which went really well and then things just escalated from there!
Which bands/artists are you influenced by at the moment?
At the moment really liking Mt.Wolfs atmospheric charms and still loving ‘Currents’ by Tame Impala!

When do you hope to release your next EP?
The next EP will be out early summer vibes, preceding the album which we are so very close to completing and so very excited about!
How would you describe your live sets?
A mish-mash of high energy pop/rock songs and ambient moods.
Do you have any plans for the festival circuit this summer?
We plan to hit it up as much as poss, you can’t beat a festie..everyone in a field somewhere detached from reality, drinking beer and listening to music – that’s where we wanna be!
What are your plans for 2016?
We’re promoting our single ‘Picture’ at the moment and then we’ll be concentrating on the next EP and everything leading up to the album over the summer, which will hopefully be amidst some lovely sunny festivals!
