Joe McElderry has revealed that he will shoot the music video for his new single this week.

The news comes via the singer’s blog, revealing that he is off to shoot his new music video;

“Hey guys! Hope you’re all well. I managed to get home again last weekend, it’s been great getting to catch up with friends and family! We all watched the X-Factor again! It’s still very strange watching after being on the show for so long. I get all nervous when the theme tune comes on. It reminds of the nerves backstage hehe!

On Monday, I had a photo shoot for a magazine which was great fun – lots of different styles and set-ups. I’ve had a fitting this morning to try clothes for the video shoot and now I’m at the airport!! We’re going somewhere very random but it’s an interesting place so I’m looking forward to seeing it! I’m so excited – I can’t believe I’m shooting a video for my first single!!

Joe also treated his fans to a Twitter “Question and Answer session” not long after posting the blog and before he boarded his plane to the secret location.

The singer has kept quiet for a while, whilst recording his album in Stockholm and Jersey, but explains he is “ecstatic” to get back into the music scene and is certainly making sure his fans know the latest goings on with his blog updates.
