Live Review | WSTR | Stereo Glasgow

Following the release of their debut album, WSTR hit the road with Seaway and The Gospel Youth.

The intimate pop punk show at Glasgow’s Stereo provided the band with the perfect platform to showcase their new record to the receptive crowd.

With singalongs as soon as their set began, it seems the Glasgow crowd were rather familiar with the Liverpudlian lads and their new release ‘Red, Green Or Inbetween’.

For a support slot, WSTR made the most of their set, packing in tracks overflowing with energy and enthusiasm.

Highlights came in the form of ‘Nail The Casket’, ‘Graveyard Shift’ and ‘South Drive’ as fans boldly belted out the lyrics, overpowering the band at times.

Keeping in-line with the traditional pop punk gig vibe, the band encouraged crowd surfers as gig goers used the stage as a platform to leap as legs flew through the air with the enthusiastic crowd down the front embracing every minute.

WSTR have propelled themselves full force in 2017, proving they are more than ready to show what they’re made of. It seems we’ll be hearing a lot more from the guys this year – and it’s easy to see why.
