Lostprophets are one of those bands who continue to tour the UK and are always guaranteed a loyal following coming out to see them.

On their last UK tour, earlier this year, they played the Manchester Academy but whilst on this tour the venues are larger, the band manage nearly to fill the Apollo.

Lead singer, Ian Watkins is an engaging front man – dressed in a purple suit with a black shirt and tie to match, he cuts a striking figure. It is unusual for a rock band to have a singer who the male fans can identify with and the females find attractive.

The old songs like ‘Last Train Home’ and ‘Last Summer’ go down better with the audience, rather than the newer tracks off their last album, Weapons. These newer tracks show the band in a new light with their more melodic approach. ‘Jesus Walks’ sounds far better suited to daytime radio rather than the moshpit.

The band still look good and are as tight musically as ever, however, it will be interesting to see which path the band go down next; do they continue with the more accessible tracks like from their new album, or do they go back to their earlier sound?
