Nicola Roberts will kick off the new year with the release of her new single ‘Yo-Yo’ on January 2nd through A&M records.

The single was written by Nicola with Dimitri Tikovoi and marries classic pop lyrics to a post-Dalston Ronettes vibe and a pulsing, demented electro breakdown.

Nicola Explains;

“The song is about being in that position with a guy when you really don’t know whether you’re coming or going, being in that position can make you really vulnerable. It’s the dark, desperate and doubtful side of love.”

The CD single will be released with a live version of Yo-Yo and a demo version of her original album track, Sticks + Stones, a moving track which she wrote about her struggle with bullies.

‘Yo-Yo’ is the third release from Nicola’s critically acclaimed debut solo album; Cinderella’s Eyes.
