Olly Murs revealed as Xtra Factor 2011 co-host

Olly Murs has been confirmed as the new co-host of ITV 2’s The Xtra Factor alongside Caroline Flack.

Going back to the show that launched his career and has so far given him a number 1 single and a double platinum album, is a real privilege for Olly;

“I’m so excited to be joining the Xtra Factor with Caroline. The X Factor is the show that put me where I am so I’m chuffed to be involved again; this time to work on it from the other side and see some new stars coming through!”

This week sees the releases of Olly’s fourth solo single ‘Busy’ which was written by Olly, along with Adam Argyle and Martin Brammer. The Digital EP contains two new b-sides; Takes A Lot and Please Don’t Let Me Go (Acoustic version).

Olly has played to thousands on his first solo headline tour of the UK which continues this week with Dublin and Belfast shows before a four night stint on his home turf in Southend next week. He will then be appearing at a host of special events over the summer including Cornbury Festival and V Festival as well as some joint shows with JLS.
