One Direction release second bonus track ‘Midnight Memories’

one directionOn the road to releasing their third album, Anvie Kay’s got another review for One Direction’s ‘Midnight Memories’.

The 1D boys have released their second bonus track – as a treat, it’s the title track of the album: Midnight Memories!

With Diana already “No.1 in 81 countries” (according to token Irishman, Niall Horan), the release of Midnight Memories is set to keep the album in the No.1 spot in many more than eighty-one countries.

Diverting from Diana’s 80s vibe, Midnight Memories fast-forwards time ten years to the 90s –where we find ourselves back to Queen’s, We Will Rock You. With traces of Take Me Home’s, Rock Me in this latest release, it’s hard to separate the two songs. Lyrically it’s got the theme of Up All Night, while musically it is another version of Rock Me.

Although I have my reservations with recycling material, I can’t deny that Midnight Memories could in fact be 2014’s 1D anthem as they set off on their Where We Are Tour in April.

Don’t get me wrong, I like the song, but it’s a little too soon to have a song that pays homage Queen on your track list – if you know what I mean. Either way, it’s one fan’s will enjoy.
