Preview; Dot to Dot Festival 2012

After seven years running, Dot to Dot Festival (in association with Fred Perry Subculture) is back to introduce three UK cities to 2012’s most impressive up-and-coming artists and bands.

Taking place this Diamond Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend in Bristol (2nd June), Nottingham (3rd June) and Manchester (4th June), Dot to Dot has previously secured the rise of the likes of The xx, Mumford and Sons as well as Florence and the Machine – all enjoyed across some of Britain’s most influential cities for music. Venues such as Bristol’s Thekla, Nottingham’s Rock City and Manchester’s HMV Ritz are open throughout the day to showcase a variety of acts who are soon to find their big break.

With such a comfortable metropolitan setting, why pay to endure the mud, rain and cold of Reading and Leeds when you can experience the same music from the convienience of your local city center?

Headliners The Drums and Pulled Apart By Horses are playing above a delightful collection of other acts including Bombay Bicycle Club collaborator Lucy Rose, singer-songwriter Willy Mason as well as California’s homemade beach-punk artist Wavves alongside many many others.

At just £20, ticket-holders can expect not only a diverse range of electronic, folk and alternative acts (with pretty much everything between!) but also features including a silent disco (Bristol) and individual clothing and craft stores (Nottingham).
