Preview | The Imagineers | Stereo Glasgow

The Imagineers will headline Glasgow’s Stereo to celebrate the release of their new album ‘Utopian Dreams’.

Out now via Hit The Light Records, the 13-track album has already received top praises including its recent four-star rating in the Scotsman.

The release of ‘Utopian Dreams’ marks the first new full-length release since the original line-up split in 2013.

Since then, frontman Stevie Young travelled Europe with his guitar in tow, finding new inspiration across Europe with various musicians creating a catalogue of tracks.

Initially planning to release an acoustic EP, it was upon enlisting the help of producer Tommy Philips (keys), that the album came to life as the acoustic idea stepped aside for a full-band release.

Now, Scott Forsyth (drums, percussion, backing vocals), David Dunsmuir (bass) and Craig McGown (lead guitar, backing vocals) have joined the line-up introducing the new reinvigoration of The Imagineers.

Celebrating the release on Friday 19th May at Glasgow’s Stereo, support will come from Rascalton and Eugene Twist.

This summer, The Imagineers have also been selected for a showcase slot at this year’s XpoNorth Festival in Inverness.

Tickets for the launch are priced at £8 and on sale now via Tickets Scotland.
