The festival season is nearly upon us and if you are yet to choose your summer hangout, let me introduce you to Y Not Festival.
Y Not is an independently run ‘Small, Fresh & Loud’ music festival, nestled in the Peak District, the festival takes place between the 1st-3rd of August.
Boasting a melting pot of live music spanning every conceivable genre, from huge internally renowned artists, under the radar bands and local talent across 6 stages, Y Not has entertainment at the core of its soul.
Headlining the Big Gin Stage this year are White Lies, Dizzee Rascal and Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls – guaranteed to provide the best possible experience for the weekend.
Other headliners include Reel Big Fish, British Sea Power and Newton Faulkner on the Quarry Stage and Andrew W.K., The Blackout and Cerebral Ballzy at the Giant Squid stage.
Support comes from Razorlight, The Fratellis, De La Soul, Palma Violets, Blitz Kids and Y Not favourites King Pleasure and the Biscuit Boys .

For those moments between bands, Y Not provides a host of alternative entertainments, including 7 ‘themed’ bars stocked to the gunnels with local ales and ciders providing comfortable covered chill-out zones, various breakout areas and even a ‘drive-in’ cinema.
