Prides have returned ahead of festival season with their new single ‘Rome’.

The track is the first new music from the band since the release of their debut album ‘The Way Back Up’ last year.

Speaking on their recent absence from the music scene, the band said: “We locked ourselves in a cabin for a week to work on new material with the conscious consideration to do whatever the hell we wanted. ‘Rome’ is a little darker, a little louder, and really came from our aching desire to experiment with the quarter-note-triplet beat of Tears for Fears or Simple Minds.”

The return of the band also marks a change in the live line-up for the Glasgow guys, with drummer Lewis Gardiner now producing the band’s material.
