Professor Green has been announced as the first headline act to open the new O2 Academy in Leicester on September 23rd.

On announcing this, Professor Green explained his excitement about the event;

“It is a real honour to be asked to perform at the opening of O2 Academy Leicester,” he said. “I look forward to being the first headline act to grace the stage.”

Other acts such as Plan B and The Magic Numbers are set to grace the stage in the coming months.

This is not the only new O2 Academy that is opening, another two are due to be set up in the coming weeks as part of a development plan.

If you can’t catch Professor Green at the new Leicester venue, he is also on tour this October in Cambridge, Sheffield, Birmingham, Glasgow, Manchester, Oxford, Cardiff, Brighton and London.
