Radio 1 have announced this year’s Big Weekend will take place in Glasgow and have revealed the first two names for the line-up.

The free event will take place at Glasgow Green from May 24th to 25th.

Nick Grimshaw from Radio 1 also confirmed that the first acts playing the festival are Paolo Nutini and Rita Ora.

The event marks 11 years of the festival and more than 60,000 tickets will be available.
