The eight bands who have won the opportunity to play at Download Festival through the Red Bull Studios competition have been announced.

The competition short-listed 100 of the most hyped entries, which were then judged by an expert panel (including Don Broco, Kerrang Radio presenter Katie P, Red Bull Records GM Angie Somerside and Radio 1 DJ Huw Stephens) and whittled down to just 15.

15 short films of them performing at Red Bull Studios were then uploaded and voted for by the public.

The top eight with the most votes have been chosen to play on the Red Bull Studios Live stage at Download Festival 2014.

Stage times are yet to be announced but they will all perform live over the weekend.
