Review | ALXNDR | Glasgow O2 ABC 2

Newcastle trio ALXNDR headlined Glasgow’s O2 ABC 2 during their current nine-date UK tour.

Opening the night, Birmingham trio Pleasure House treated the crowd to tracks from their new EP release ‘Show Your Colours’. Despite being the first band on stage, they managed to maintain a strong stage presence with their catchy songs leaving you dancing into the night. With a set packed with promising tunes, we’re certainly glad to have discovered these guys.

ALXNDR launched straight into their set with fan favourite ‘Drive‘, starting the night with a cheery summery boost.

From the moment they stepped onto the stage, the band seemed relaxed and cheerful with charming frontman Anth Snowdon leading the way.

With dreamy pop vocals against a glistening indie sound, the trio easily managed to bring the summertime feeling indoors with their uplifting tracks.

Throughout the set, the band showcased tracks from their recent EP release ‘RWND’ with highlights in the set including ‘You And Me’ and ‘Gemini’.

Ending the night on a high with ‘FOUR A.M’, the small crowd eagerly sang and danced along with the perfect track to get you ready for festival season.

After catching them live, ALXNDR deserve to be known on a larger scale. With a powerful set packed with memorable tracks, the trio ticks all the boxes creating the perfect alt-pop concoction.

Tonight (April 22nd) ALNXDR will perform a headline show at Newcastle’s O2 Academy.
