Scottish Alternative Music Awards 2017 live line-up unveiled

White at Scottish Alternative Music Awards - Love Music; Love Life

The acts set for the stage at the Scottish Alternative Music Awards 2017 have been announced.

Returning to Glasgow on October 12th, the ceremony will celebrate the best of Scotland’s alternative music scene.

Hosted by Jim Gellatly, seven awards will be given out on the night by a range of guests from Scottish TV and music.

The live-up for the ceremony has been unveiled as WHITE, Holy Mountain and BOOHOOHOO.

Speaking of the awards, Festival Director Richy Muirhead said: “The SAMAs are the perfect platform to discover and showcase talent from all over Scotland across multiple genres. It’s amazing looking back to seeing acts like Fatherson and The LaFontaines win – who are now selling out giant venues like The Barrowlands and touring extensively in the UK/EU. In a couple of weeks we’ll release the nominations list which will highlight the high quality and creative talent Scotland has to offer in the music industry.”

Tickets for the ceremony are on sale now from £7, with VIP packages available from £20.
