Citadel has announced next year’s festival headliner as Sigur Rós.

The Icelandic trio will headline the festival at Victoria Park on Sunday 17th July, as one of only two UK shows next year.

Speaking of their headline slot, the band said: “We are pleased to announce that we are playing Citadel next summer. In the spirit of adventure, all we can say right now is it’s going to be different. In addition to playing all the songs you know and love, there will be new unreleased songs, a new show and more… Trust us on this one.”

Alongside Sigur Rós, independent label and promoter Communion and promoters Soundcrash will curate two stages with new and experimental music.

Pre-sale for Citadel tickets opens on Thursday 26th November at 9am before general sale tickets on Tuesday December 1st.

Tickets are priced from £39.50 plus booking fee.
