Single Review | Paloma Faith | Trouble With My Baby

palomaPaloma Faith will release her new single ‘Trouble With My Baby’ on August 11th.

The single is the third release from Faith’s current album ‘Perfect Contradiction’, and follows on wonderfully from her previous single releases ‘Can’t Rely on You‘ and ‘Only Love Can Hurt Like This’.

The song was co-written by Paloma Faith with Andrea Martin and Steve Robson and is about giving too much to your “baby” who takes everything you have while giving nothing in return.

While this mix of a rant and a cry for help may sound like your classic tear-jerker, it surprisingly isn’t.

The vocals are empowering yet honest and the quick pace of the song makes it ridiculously catchy, ensuring you will have learnt the chorus after one listen, and this really adds to the desperation which can be felt in Faith’s voice.

The back up vocals and saxophone give the song a lovely jazz sound which fits perfectly with Faith’s signature retro style. Fans of her previous work will certainly love this new track.
