You Me At Six; No One Does It Better

Kirsty Armitage

Rock-favourites, You Me at Six, are back with another single from the highly acclaimed album; Sinners Never Sleep. No One Does it Better is the latest single to come from the Surrey-based boys and has a distinctly different vibe to previous offerings.

Having had my socks rocked off by the bouncy Loverboy and moody Bite my Tongue, I was really bowled over by the simplicity of No One Does it Better. Beautiful, clear and uncomplicated guitar from Miller and Heyler and a superb vocal performance from Franceschi (we’d expect nothing less!) combine to make this an absolute pleasure on the ears – it really doesn’t demand too much from the listener and that’s ok by me.

To me, YMAS show growing maturity with each release and I find the band more and more compelling. This new single is a great example of that – it’s melodic, perfect summer tunage from the UK’s favourite rockers and I can’t wait to see this performed at Leeds Festival in August!
