Slam Dunk Festival 2016We’ve picked our top eight acts to catch live at Slam Dunk Festival 2016.

With more than 50 acts set for the stages across the day, you might be wondering who to catch live.

To help you whittle down your list, we’ve picked our top act act from each stage that we reckon you should schedule into your day.

Main Stage | Moose Blood – 1.30pm to 2.05pm

Leaping from last year’s Fresh Blood slot, Moose Blood will open this year’s main stage. With sold out tours, a forthcoming album release and a Kerrang! award nomination already secured in 2016, head in early to catch these guys as its guaranteed you’ll be hearing a lot more from the band in the future.

Atlas Stage | Issues – 8.20pm to 9.05pm

Following their recent ‘Headspace’ album release, Issues will make their Slam Dunk debut on the Atlas Stage. Blending pop and metal to create the perfect concoction, these guys will have you singing and dancing into the night.

Key Club Stage | Real Friends – 5pm to 5.35pm

With their new album out on May 27th, Real Friends will celebrate their release on the Key Club stage. Standing the test of time over the past six years, the band will join the pop punk party at Slam Dunk ahead of their main stage slot on Vans Warped Tour this summer.

Fresh Blood Stage | Dead! – 4pm to 4.30pm

Southampton’s Dead! are set for a festival fuelled summer with appearances at Slam Dunk, 2000 Trees and Download to name a few. Following their recent signing to new label Infectious, it seems the four-piece have an exciting year ahead. Make sure time to catch them live before they take off.

Impericon Stage | The One Hundred – 1.35pm to 2.05pm

With their blend of metal, hip hop, rock and dance, The One Hundred have been gaining fans across the UK with their unique sound. Get ready to jump as the guys will no doubt serve up a high energy set at Slam Dunk kicking things off at the Impericon Stage.

Desperados Stage | The JB Conspiracy – 2.50pm to 3.20pm

Add some ska to your day at the Desperados Stage with London’s The JB Conspiracy. Forming six years ago, the seven-piece band are still selling out shows across the UK and are guaranteed to get you grooving into the afternoon.

Solo/Acoustic Stage | away days – 5.40pm to 6.10pm

The trio of ex-Blitz Kids band members (Jono Yates, Matt Freer and Nic Montgomery) formed away days earlier this year to release the type of music they had a passion for. The band have already revealed their catchy self-titled EP and we can’t wait to catch their debut festival set.

Uprawr Stage | Party Blinders – 5pm to 6pm

If you want a break from the stages to enjoy a dance and a drink, the Uprawr stage has you covered with live DJ sets and special guest appearances. This year, we reckon you should check out Party Blinders, the trio promise a high energy party packed with tune after tune ahead of their slot at Camden Rocks.
