T in the Park 2014: Friday highlights

If you’re looking for a quick taster of this year’s T in the Park festival, take a look at our day one highlights.

Ellie Goulding

The festival queen had a lot to live up to following her previous festival ventures, but as she bounded across the stage belting out hits one after another with absolute ease. Her vocals were exactly as on record and her cheery personality was enough to completely win over the Balado crowd.

Saint Raymond

After featuring the band on the blog a number of times, we finally managed to catch them live. Playing the BBC Introducing tent, it was a special moment at the festival as Callum’s vocals provided a great soundtrack as the crowd danced along to the beat. A smile appeared on his face anytime he looked out to the crowd singing back and you could tell he was cherishing the moment. If you missed this set, you definitely missed out.

Ed Sheeran

No matter how many times you see Ed Sheeran live, it’s still hard to believe that he manages to create such a powerful sound with just his voice, guitar and pedals. His vocals were spot on as he sang through tracks from his old album and new hits from ‘X’. And as the crowd got into the spirit, it was taps aff as t-shirts were flying around the air in time to his number one hit ‘Sing’.
