The 1975 release ‘Robbers’ music video

1975The 1975 have released the music video for ‘Robbers’.

The single is due for release on May 26th through Dirty Hit/Polydor.

The video was recorded in Liverpool’s Motor Museum and produced by drummer George Daniel, front man Matty Healy and Producer Mike Crossey.

Speaking of the meaning behind the video Matt Healy said: “I got really obsessed with the idea behind Patricia Arquette’s character in True Romance when I was about eighteen. That craving for the bad boy in that film it’s so sexualised. It was something I was obsessed with. ‘Robbers’ is about a heist that goes wrong – I suppose you can read it as a metaphor – and a girl who’s obsessed with her professional killer boyfriend. It’s a romantic ideal.”
