The Kaiser Chiefs Stand Up Against Poverty in Leeds

KaiserChiefs01PR060611Amongst a variety of celebrity, political, corporate and sporting figures supporting ‘Hour Leeds’ – a charity that fights poverty within the local Leeds community, while raising awareness about the problem with poverty faced by local families – are Leeds lads and international superstars, The Kaiser Chiefs.

Sponsored by www.cclint.com, the charity has invited celebrities from across the UK to spend only an hour of their time designing a clock face for Hour Leeds’ latest fundraising event ‘Clockworks’ – an exhibition which opens in Leeds on 21st June and runs for the following 7 days. Here, the public will be given the chance to bid on, and own, a piece of art created by their favourite celebrity.

Alongside The Kaiser Chiefs, Alison Moyet, Julian Lloyds Webber and even the Prime Minister, David Cameron will be attending to create their own individual piece of hand-crafted art in support of the event.

Any artwork created will be auctioned off in the following days in order to raise funds to support destitute families in the area.

All designs for the event can either be viewed at  www.hourleeds.blogspot.co.uk or on the events own Facebook page at www.facebook.com/HourLeeds2013
