The Van T’s join Northern Roots Festival line-up

Glasgow band The Van T’s will be headlining the Uisgebarn stage at this summer’s Northern Roots Festival, joining acts from all across Scotland.

Family-friendly Northern Roots takes place near Inverness on Bogbain Farm on June 23/24th and will have a line up of over 40 acts who cover a range of genres and styles.

The Van T’s will be joining Be Charlotte, SKJØR, Justin Currie (Mainstage), Rachel Sermanni, Have Mercy Las Vegas, Tide Lines and Ayakara.

Started in 2009 to showcase upcoming folk and roots artists, the festival has now become a place for Scottish musicians to gain exposure and celebrate the country’s vibrant and diverse music scene.

For the organisers, Northern Roots is certainly not about going mainstream:

“It’s really a festival for music lovers – there’s no side-shows or gimmicks – its music, music, music, all the way….We’re just keen to promote the best Scotland has.”

The festival will be held over three stages over the two nights in June and promises to also provide artisan Scottish fare and a selection of craft beer and spirits.

Tickets can be bought by visiting the website, where there are also prices for children and teenagers. Get them right here.
