Tim Burgess Confirmed for Independent Venue Week 2016

Independent Venue WeekCharlatan’s frontman Tim Burgess has been confirmed for Independent Venue Week 2016.

He will be playing at Night & Day Café, Manchester on Sunday 31st January 2016.

Now in its third year, Independent Venue Week is a seven-day national event.

Starting on the 25th of January 2016, it hosts a plethora of local grassroots talent across the length of the UK. It’s grown again from last year with 120 venues taking part in 2016, from Aberdeen to Exeter and Belfast to Norwich.

The line-up, selected by Burgess, features three acts signed to his O’Genesis Record label. Hot Vestry will headline, with Tear and Slowgun as support. Tim will be DJing from doors and throughout the show.

Others artists performing over the 7 days include Everything Everything, Matthew E. White, Mallory Knox, Childhood, Misty Miller, Beans on Toast, Eliza and the Bear, Saffron (Republica) Tom Hingley (Inspiral Carpets), Get Cape, Wear Cape, Fly, Georgia, Get Inuit and Edwyn Collins, who is following up his involvement last year. As well as playing live, he is also curating the week at Hebden Bridge Trades Club.

The Night & Day Café will be hosting four other shows at part of Independent Venue Week 2016. This will include a ‘Best Of Manchester 2016’ show on Wednesday 27th January with Horsebeach, Black Lung and Night Palms.
