Track of the Day | Phoenix Calling – Rescue Me

Phoenix CallingPhoenix Calling have released the music video for their new single ‘Rescue Me’.

Working with producer Lee Baituk (Deaf Havana), the single marks a change in sound for the band.

Speaking of the new release, vocalist Steve Chapman said: “‘Rescue Me’ was written after seeing a Facebook post by our bass player’s father in remembrance of his Dad who had recently passed away. The words were so poetic, honest and heart felt, that I always felt there was a song in there.

“The song is about loss, memories, reminiscence and being able to find yourself after losing a close friend. Life is short and we should hang onto the times that mean the most to us.”

Get ready for an air drumming session as ‘Rescue Me’ is packed with addictive instrumentals. With a strong chorus and powerful vocals from Steve Chapman, the track has already made its way onto our summer playlist.

The single release comes ahead of the band’s summer festival appearances including Fort Fest and Redhill Rocks.
