Southampton’s Waking Aida have released their latest single ‘Shoal’

The track from the post-rock four-piece marks the band’s first release featuring vocals.

Speaking of the single, the band said: “After writing two instrumental records, ‘Shoal’ is our first attempt at adding words to our music. We never wanted to just tag vocals on-top of any song, with Shoal it felt completely natural.

“The song is a cool mix of a lot of the music styles we love from icy electronica to emotive post-rock. It feels like something very familiar and unfamiliar to us.”

The new single comes ahead of the band’s April tour dates.
