Weezer have plans to release their new album on September 13th.

The band are playing Reading and Leeds Festivals in August in the UK and will release the album, which is yet to be titled, the following month.

They have explained in an interview with MTV News that people will be hearing ‘new Weeezer very soon’ and revealed the band have been working with Ryan Adams who is known for his alt-country sounds and is not to be confused with Bryan Adams.

The only clue they have given about what to expect, is that the latest single is ‘very stirring, emotional and powerful”, so Weezer fans will have to wait just a little longer to hear the band’s new material.
