BBC Radio 1 has revealed details for a free music festival set to celebrate the Olympic games in London next June 2012.
The station has revealed that the Olympic festival shall be headlined by Leona Lewis and Plan B and shall take place from June 23rd-24th at Hackney Marshes in East London.
It has now been named ‘BBC Radio 1’s Hackey Weekend’ so alike the recent Big Weekend there shall be tickets available to the public and as with the usual Big Weekend system, these shall be allocated on a location basis.
The event shall more than double the capacity of previous Big Weekends and will feature six stages of music.
