This Friday, November 19th, sees a new type of event taking place in Glasgow in aid of Children in Need.
The event shall take place at Glasgow’s SECC and shall see McFly take to the stage, joined by Alexandra Burke and The Wanted.
This shall be the first year that the event is not hosted at the BBC Scotland HQ, instead 4,000 fans shall flock to the SECC.
Other acts confirmed for the evening are dance acts Punjabi No 1 and The Box, music acts Pearl and the Puppets, Clanadonia and The Gospel Truth Choir plus comedians Fred MacAulay, Daniel Sloss, Mark Nelson, Craig Hill, Des Clarke, Janey Godley and Nina Conti.
John Barrowman will be hosting the event and spoke more about his involvement;
“Working on Children in Need is always a highlight of my year. The cause is such a worthy one, and unfortunately right now the number of children in need in the UK is growing. I’m really looking forward to doing what I can to raise spirits and lots of cash.”
BBC Radio Scotland will have full coverage of Children in Need starting from 6.10pm for a four-hour Children in Need special.
Highlights of Children in Need Rocks Scotland shall be broadcast on BBC One Scotland on Friday 19th November.
