Track of the Day | Dan Lancaster – Move A Mountain

Dan Lancaster has unveiled his debut solo single ‘Move A Mountain’.

If you’re into your music, you’ll no doubt recognise Lancaster’s name as he’s produced numerous releases for bands to-date including Love Music; Love Life favourites Don Broco, Fickle Friends and Bring Me The Horizon.

The track is the first taster from Dan’s forthcoming EP, due out later this year.

Dan will also perform his debut solo show at London’s Oslo on October 16th.

Speaking of the single, Dan said: “The song is about trying to remove thoughts from your head but ultimately having little control over it and the frustration with that. Despite the song coming from a darker place, it was a cathartic release writing it.”

‘Move A Mountain’ serves up an intriguing pop-tinged blend, with immediate Bring Me The Horizon ‘Follow You’ vibes meets Don Broco’s ‘Superlove’. By the time the chorus loops in, it’s distinctively recognisable as his work from his producing elements, creating an addictive release that immediately feels familiar and will slot into any playlist with ease.
