Feature | Hard Rock Cafe’s 47th Birthday celebrations in Edinburgh

Almost 50 years ago, it all started with two music-loving Americans on the search for an authentic burger while living in London.

After many failed attempts at finding the perfect burger, Hard Rock’s founders decided it was time to launch their own.

On June 14th 1971 in London, they opened their own American style diner in an old Rolls Royce dealership named ‘The Hard Rock Cafe’.

Little did they know that from the search for a simple burger, Hard Rock would become one of the world’s most known restaurant brands.

Combining music, memorabilia and delicious American food, it all began with an Eric Clapton guitar and now Hard Rock operates venues in 75 countries including 180 cafes, 25 hotels and 11 casinos and owns one of the world’s greatest collection of music memorabilia.

To celebrate the brand’s 47th birthday on Thursday 14th June, Hard Rock Cafe Edinburgh will pay homage to 1971 as staff dress up in 70’s style with a delicious burger deal on offer.

The Original Legendary® Burger will be available for just 71p per guest on a first-come-first-served basis from 11am to 12pm.

Hard Rock Cafe’s Original Legendary® Burger features a beef patty topped with smoked bacon, cheddar cheese, a golden fried onion ring, crisp lettuce and vine ripened tomato, served on a toasted brioche bun with Hard Rock’s seasoned fries.

Fancy tucking in for 71p? Make sure you head down early to enjoy a bite!

You’ll find Hard Rock Cafe Edinburgh at 20 George Street!
