MTV have revealed that Glasgow’s new music venue The Hydro will host the 2014 MTV European Music Awards.

The announcement was made in Amsterdam ahead of this year’s Award ceremony.

The Glasgow show will be the second time the event has been hosted in Scotland, as the Awards took place in Edinburgh’s Ocean Terminal in 2003.

Next year’s ceremony will celebrate 20 years of the MTV EMAs.
