Independent record label AMP announce competition for film makers

Independent record label AMP Music Productions have announced an exciting competition for film makers.

Entrants are invited to submit an original film incorporating one of 4 songs taken from Mike Marlin’s forthcoming album Man On The Ground.

The songs are available for competition entrants to download in full and instrumental versions through the Mike Marlin website.

Entries will be judged by Marlin, Marta Sala Font (producer for the Roundhouse BlackBox series and mentor of young aspiring filmmakers at the Roundhouse) and director Lee Archer, who will choose 2 winning films for each song, awarding a top prize of £1,000 and a runner-up prize of £500, giving filmmakers 8 chances to win!

In addition, an overall winner will be chosen and given the opportunity to make the official music video for Mike Marlin’s next single, with a budget of up to £5,000.

Entries can take the format of a music video, however this is not a requirement. Films can made specifically for the competition, or the song (or instrumental) can be used to provide a new soundtrack for an existing film.

There is no limit to the number of films you may submit to the competition.

Please Note; There is no limit to the number of films you may submit and the closing date for entries is 2nd January 2012. Entries must be submitted as YouTube/Vimeo links on the official Mike Marlin Facebook page.
