Independent Venue Week has announced the plans for the 2018 celebration.

More than 160 venues across the UK have signed up to join its fifth birthday celebrations which will run from January 29th to February 4th 2018.

Next year’s initial ambassadors have been announced as South Tyneside singer-songwriter Nadine Shah and Adrian Utley from Portishead, with three extra names to be unveiled in the coming weeks.

From the 22 capacity Grayston Unity to the largest venue with London’s The Troxy, the week will see gigs of every genre take place across the country.

With the addition of specially curated tours throughout the week, this year’s IVW promises to be ‘bigger than ever’.
