Katy Perry is to release a 3D movie, which will document her sold out California Dreams tour.

Part of Me is hoping to blend together both footage from her concerts and behind-the-scenes exclusives. The trailer, released yesterday, suggests we will be seeing Katy out of the spotlight and will hear from some of her family and friends.

Katy recently described the film to MTV as ‘closing the chapter’ on the album and tour. She said:
“It’s giving you an inside perspective. You’re going to see exactly what I mean and think and feel about everything.”

Katy Perry is the latest pop star to release a concert in the cinemas, others include the cast of Glee and Justin Bieber.

Part of Me will be released this summer.
