Labrinth drops out of The Script UK tour

The Script - approved - re-sizedLabrinth has announced he will no longer be supporting The Script on their UK arena tour, which kicked off yesterday in Glasgow.

The English singer-songwriter revealed the news in a statement sent to ticket holders, saying:

“After much deliberation I regretfully announce that I will not be joining The Script on their UK/Europe/Australian tour.

“I apologise to The Script and their team, who I have great love for. The team and I were really looking forward to having a great time with you on the road. And of course the fans – I owe the deepest apology to you guys.

“This decision was not taken lightly but I am still in the process of finishing my album. I am tucked away in the studio and I promise as soon as I’m finished, I’ll be ready to hit the road to come see you all. You have my word it’ll be worth the wait! Again, I’m sorry for any inconvenience I’ve caused”.

The Script announced shortly before the first show that rapper Tinie Tempah will now join them on the road.
