Live Review | The Sherlocks | The Liquid Room

Releasing their debut album ‘Live for the Moment’ in 2017, The Sherlocks are quickly making their mark on the UK music scene.

Setting off on a 7 date UK tour, before heading on a European tour with Liam Gallagher, we went to check them out at Edinburgh’s Liquid Rooms.

The small dark room was packed full of excitable bodies for this sold out show, one of the first dates to sell out when tour tickets first went on sale.

The four-piece from South Yorkshire were met my rapturous whoops and cheers as they took to the stage. Wasting no time, the first note of ‘Last Night’ kicked off the night ahead.

The hour-long set was filled with tune after tune, taken from their debut album, that the crowd never once shied away from.

With subtle recognisable similarities to early Arctic Monkeys, The Sherlocks are on to a winning formula. The energy from both the band and crowd barely let up throughout, as the belted out hits including ‘Live for the Moment’, ‘Will You Be There?’ and ‘Blue’.

The night comes to a close with current single ‘Chasing Shadows’ and it definitely leaves the audience wanting more. The anthem is not easily forgotten and once you’ve listened to it you’ll find yourself belting out “I’m always chasing shadoooows” hours later!

The future is bright for this young band, and I can’t wait to see what else they have up their sleeve.

They will be an incredible festival band to check out, so make sure you do. They are already confirmed to play at Y Not Festival, Truck Festival, TRNSMT and many more.
