Live Review | Twin Wild | La Belle Angele

Following the release of their new single ‘Control’, Twin Wild returned to Scotland for a headline show at La Belle Angele.

As they made their debut appearance in Edinburgh, a surprisingly empty venue awaited the band who non-descriptively appeared on stage and launched straight into their set.

With sultry vocals and an addictive anthemic sound from the get-go, the band powered through their short set showcasing a range of previous singles and giving fans a sneak insight into tracks from their forthcoming second EP release. They served up variety throughout the night with each track distinguishably carving a place in the set.

Considering the small crowd didn’t create an opportunity for engagement, the band put on a high energy enthusiastic show with highlights including ‘My Heart’, ‘Willow Tree’ and ‘Control’.

Ending on the first single they released back in 2014, ‘Fears’, Twin Wild had consistently showcased track-by-track that, after quietly honing their music over the last three years, they have found their sound and have more than the potential to start something special.

Twin Wild have all the elements to help carry the British rock batton; anthemic tunes, catchy choruses’ and guitars with groove.

As it was evident many have not quite caught onto Twin Wild’s music, perhaps the band would benefit from a larger support slot before taking on such large venues alone to help ignite the spark that is undeniably there.
