McFly have cancelled their Leeds and Derby dates which were scheduled for their upcoming ‘Bring The Noise’ tour.
The rumours began yesterday, as fans noticed the dates seemed to have vanished from McFly’s websites with no explanation.
We contacted McFly’s PR company as soon we heard but did not receive a reply, yet today the announcement was revealed from the band themselves via Tom Fletcher.
On Twitter Tom posted;
“We have had to cut the Derby and Leeds shows from the tour because of something exciting we’ll announce soon. Sorry to anyone hoping to go!x
It is unknown what this ‘something exciting’ will be, but rumours have escalated that this coincides with the bands press days for their forthcoming single/album (scheduled for release in November), or that the band are using these days for another performance elsewhere. None of these have been confirmed.
It seems the Leeds venue did not even know this event was scheduled to happen, yet the Derby venue confirmed they had the cancellation from McFly’s management.
Many fans are left disappointed by the announcement, which is just three days before the bands tour tickets go on sale this Saturday.
The announcement has also put pressure on fans who wish to go to another date instead, meaning the battle for tickets may be stronger than ever as the tour is now only 5-dates long.
The tour dates are now as follows;
October:
Monday 18th, SOUTHAMPTON, Guildhall
Tuesday 19th LONDON, O2 Sheperds Bush Empire
Thursday 21st BRISTOL, Colston Hall
Saturday 23rd MANCHESTER, Apollo
Sunday 24th EDINBURGH, Playhouse
