McFly have an announced a competition allowing fans to decide who should support them on their 2012 upcoming UK tour.

The band have launched a battle of the bands style competition to choose which bands should open for them on their March/April 2012 headline tour.

Fans can vote who shall open for the band at each separate tour date, offering 26 bands the chance to support them.

Fans can vote for as many or as few bands as they want – but you can only vote ONCE per band!

Voting will run from 1st November – 12th January.

Mcfly will pick the opening band for each night from the 50 top bands in the contest.

Bands can sign up for free at any time, even after voting has begun and all bands based in the UK whether unsigned or on a label are eligible.
