This is the third time Briefs has been to Edinburgh and they really pushed the boat out this time – testament to this was the fact the show was either sold out or very near on a Wednesday.
Guys and girls from all walks of life (I saw a couple of guys there in their flat caps, pushing 70) were eagerly packed around the Assembly George Square stage awaiting an hour of Cabaret billed as ‘a little bit of butch and whole lot of camp’.
The lights dimmed and the stage was bathed in a beautiful magenta glow as ‘Briefs’ got underway. From the second the guys sashayed on stage with their feather fans, the room was mesmerised.
