EP Review | Midday Committee | Girls In Open C

midday committeeComing out of a big year, Midday Committee have released a colossal EP just for their fans.

Released earlier this month, Girls In Open C has sent a buzz through the airwaves

Opening strong and short with a well-suited song entitled, Intro, the EP opens with a demanding flare that gets you going from the first beat. And then with no warning, their introduction enters straight into their second track, I Swear To God I’m Going To Pistol Whip The Next, letting the vocals run free to grab your attention.

Continuing the EP’s fast-paced opening, Maybe I Should, keeps you head banging through and through. You feel every note in your veins and are compelled to move every inch of your body to the beat that propels the track. Casino then takes the tempo down slightly, allowing the vocals to relay the emotions pent-up inside. It’s a beautiful song that has you singing along.

Kicking things back into motion, Hometowns, pours out the attitude that the EP has been building up from the intro. It’s fun and gets you belting out the chorus loud and proud. Overflowing with attitude, the next track opens with a great riff that gets you punching the air in all directions. Games Been Called is definitely one of my favourite songs on this massive EP.

Closing the EP, Just Me And You (ft. Christina Rotondo), is softer with an acoustic hit. The female vocals on this track draws a beautiful close to an epic EP; absolutely another one of my favourites.

Overall, Girls In Open C needs to be on your MP3 players and computers. It’s one your friends will enjoy and it’s one that will keep your energy buzzing for hours.
