With the increased popularity in streaming music, a new official streaming chart will be launched on May 14th.

The chart will look at what tracks people are listening to via streaming services such as Spotify, Deezer, We7 and Napster.

To celebrate the launch a chart of the most streamed artists of 2012 has been released.

Ed Sheeran tops the list as the most streamed artist in the UK this year so far.
