One Direction have not only achieved the number one spot in the UK charts, the band’s debut release ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ has become the fastest-selling single of 2011.

If achieving the number one spot with a debut single is not enough, One Direction have managed to break a record.

The band have achieved the biggest first-week single sales of 2011 with over 153,000 copies sold this week.

One Direction’s debut album is due for release before Christmas and with record sales of the band’s single it’s sure to be a success!
